The Benefits of Red Raspberry Leaf Tincture for Women’s Health

FullSizeRender.jpg

Happy #WellnessWednesday! For my Golden Milk Latté today I made some super cute Red Raspberry Leaf Tincture Latté art. I mean, who doesn’t need a little humpday happiness??? =)

A tincture is made when  alcohol is used to extract the active ingredients in herbs and flowers. I enjoy making my own tinctures and using them to make delicious and beneficial drinks. This is also sometimes also known as making “bitters”, or simply an infused vodka.

You can see more about making herbal-infused cocktails here, including a recipe with how to use them! While I enjoy making tinctures, the one I used for my latté art today was store bought. (Check out Amazon or your local health food store to find ready-made tinctures.)

Red Raspberry leaf contains:

  • Calcium

  • Iron

  • Magnesium

  • Manganese

  • Niacin

  • Selenium

  • Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C and E

Because of all these vitamins and minerals, red raspberry leaf is amazingly beneficial for women’s health. It’s used to address anemia, can promote healthy connective tissue, serves as a uterine tonic, tones the uterus and pelvic muscles, helps alleviate cramps, is used to promote fertility and eases morning sickness and nausea during pregnancy. It also helps prepare the uterus for birth. Remember to always seek the advice of your healthcare provider regarding a medical condition, and before undertaking any diet, exercise or other health related program or treatment, especially if you’re preggers!

I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my monthly cycle with incorporating red Raspberry leaf and other women’s health-promoting tinctures.

Do you like to use tinctures in your wellness regimen? Do you want to start using them? Leave me a comment about which ones you like or if you’d like to try them!

7 Affirmations for Fall with Free Screensavers

I've always thought of autumn as a second spring, an opportunity to restart and realign before the winter months approach. One way to make sure the last part of the year stays on a good note is to make daily affirmations a part of your mindfulness and self care routine. This post includes seven autumn-inspired affirmations to help you make the most of the changing seasons.

  1. As The seasons change, I embrace transition with joyful anticipation.
  2. The winds may blow, but I remain calm and steady in all situations.
  3. Just as trees release dead leaves, I release anything that doesn't serve me.
  4. My mind and body positively transform with the turning of the season.
  5. I use my breath to stay in the present moment.
  6. I remember to take time to care for myself, so that I can effectively care for others.
  7. Like a bountiful harvest, I am connected to the unlimited source of God's Abundance.

On an iPhone, you can then go to your Camera Roll, click on the picture you saved, then the rectangle with the up-pointing arrow and select "Use as Wallpaper." It will give you a choice to use it as just your background wallpaper, or to also use it as your lock screen.
