"In Our Own Words": Virtual Brain Injury Survivor Poetry Event II
Coming April 2025, Resilient Roots will be hosting our second virtual poetry event featuring the works of brain injury survivors and caregivers from all walks of life. “In Our Own Words” brings the voices of the brain injury community to the forefront as we use poetry to express our experiences, bringing advocacy, awareness and visibility to the world at large. This event is open to anyone who would like to attend.
If you identify as an individual having experienced a brain injury of any kind (traumatic brain injury, stroke, prior drug use, domestic violence, etc.-this is a judgment-free zone!) or are a care partner to an individual living with a brain injury, please reach out to me (Cazoshay Marie) at resilientrootspwbi@gmail.com for more details and to get on the program to share. "Maxwell" Showing at ArtLink Phoenix Inaugural Salon Forty Eight
I’m very excited to announce that “Maxwell” and I will be at the @artlink_phoenix inaugural Salon Forty Eight exhibition on January 23rd from 6-9pm at the ArtLink Gallery Space! In keeping with my goal of being as sustainable as possible, “Maxwell” is an oil painting done on a recycled canvas. Also, I love him, but he will be available for purchase! This is my first showing here in Arizona, and my first since the accident, I am over the moon about it. So come hang and chat with me, I’d love to see you all there! 💖
